National Revenue Authority Orders Senior Officials to Submit Their Academic Certificates Amid Fake Degrees Scandal

Sierra Leone’s National Revenue Authority (NRA) has today ordered all their managers, supervisors and officers to submit their academic certificates with a personal file.

The order came amid allegations of some government officials acquiring fake degrees from fake tertiary institutions to hold top positions.

The notice from the NRA commissioner states that; “We write further to our memo on the 25th January 2021 on the above mentioned subject and to request that you submit all your academic certificate/s through the office of the Commissioner-General for the attention of the Director, HRD on or before close of business on the 20th April 2022. Thank you very much for your cooperation.”
