Sierra Leone’s Office of National Security (ONS) has listed a total 46 security companies to be operating illegally. ONS said the 46 security companies do not have valid licences to operate in the country.
“The public is hereby informed that the undermentioned Private Security Companies (PCSC) do not have valid lincences to operate in Sierra Leone and have therefore violated Section 31 (1) of the National Security and Intelligence Act,” ONS said.
They added that the security companies have violated the said Act which directs them to operate as private security service only after securing a valid licence from ONS.
