Osman Yah was announced winner of the 2024 President Bio Innovation Award courtesy of the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation.

Osman walked away with a cash prize of USD 30,000, while the first runner up Martin Dangbaque take home USD 20,000 and the second runner up Kumba Florence won USD 10,000 and a consolation prize of NLe 30,000 was given to the other two participants.

Five participants were battling for the winning prize and they were given five minutes each to pitch their innovative ideas that must convince the judges.

Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka said they hope to use innovative technology to achieve the Feed Salone agenda and they are also working on using innovative technology to establish a Digital Farmers Registry.

The 2024 Sierra Leone Innovates Tech Summit was held for three days at the Bintumani International Conference Center in Freetown and attracted over 3,000 delegates, 50 panelists and 10 sectors drawn from 4 Mano River Union countries.
