Rumors about an impending reshuffle panic at Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Sierra Leone Government, it emerged last evening.

Already, some ministries, heads of parastatals and agencies are said to have been having traumatic moment’s day in day out upon eavesdropping rumours that President Bio was to effectuate a massive reshuffle at any given time.

Reliable source says it could not ascertain as to who will be affected, but has affirmed that certain ministers and heads of parastatals and agencies are no longer in good books of the presidency because of their abysmal performances, and that President Bio is worried that time is no longer in his government’s that rebranding his New Direction administration is the priority.

The source suggests even few of the President’s close allies have been earmarked for firing due to either poor performance, malfeasance or alleged double-crossing in certain deals with mouthwatering kickbacks. With almost four years of the New Direction elapsing, the source says the President’s spirit has not been all-time high at the unfolding challenges faced along the way of his stewardship so far.

Things are hard, the economy crumbling and people plunged in excruciating lack of means for appreciable survival, all of which the source say the President is in a desperate mood to make amends with one step to it all the stacking of any deadwood and perceived corrupt persons in government.

It is further said that some appointments were misplaced, and are going to be swapped to MDAs to perform well in a bid to place the government on an even keel ahead of the much-coveted 2023 national polls.

Salone Compass reports that, sources could not confirm the MDAs on the President’s target list, however, but expressed expectation that many heads who have not done well in their respective MDAs to bolster the New Direction Agenda will have to roll once the reshuffle is effectuated.

Asked as to when the nation should expect the said reshuffle, the source responded, “It will take place at anytime after the completion of the party’s internal election of executive members against the New Year or thereabout.”
