Detective Superintendent of Police, Mr. Francis Lebbie, the operations officer CID made this disclosure in a press conference in Freetown on Thursday.

The Sierra Leone police had declared Baimba Moiforay wanted and Le10 Million reward declared for anyone that will capture the Magician or give information leading to his arrest.

Sierraloaded had previously reported how LAC had reportedly escaped from the shores of Sierra Leone few days before President Dr. Julius Maada Bio revoked with immediate effect  the clemency granted to him on 1st January 2022.

Recall that President Julius Maada Bio had on January, 1 2022 released Baimba Moiforay and 159 other prisoners from Prison as a Presidential pardon pursuant to S. 40 (4) (e) and S. 63 of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone Act No. 6.

Moiforay, better known as LAC, was widely considered as a magician. He was jailed in 2016 after his conviction by a High Court for the brutal murder of a popular disc jockey named Sydney David Buckle, widely known as DJ Clef.

There was public outcry following his controversial release which led to the revocation of the Presidential pardon. However, LAC was no longer in Sierra Leone as at the time the pardon was revoked.

While speaking on Thursday, Francis Lebbie of the Sierra Leone police said the 2 arrested suspects were suspected to have prepared a fake passport for LAC which virtually aided his travelling from the country.
