Admire Bio-Jalloh, popularly known as “Mama of Freetown” and a niece of President Julius Maada Bio, has been granted bail after spending more than a week in police custody in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged gold fraud scheme involving foreign nationals.
The Sierra Leone Police have not issued an official statement regarding her release or the current status of the investigation.
Meanwhile, police have declared her husband, Dauda “Daisy” Jalloh, wanted over allegations of fraud, obtaining money through forged documents, unauthorized dealings in minerals, and tax evasion.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
