Police Hospital Reviews Free Surgical Campaign, Targets Better Future Outreach
The Sierra Leone Police Hospital is reviewing lessons from its September 2026 Free Surgical Campaign to strengthen planning and improve healthcare delivery in future outreach programs.
ASP Dr John M. Konteh, deputy director and medical superintendent of the Sierra Leone Police Hospital, led an exit meeting with members of the surgical team following the campaign.
According to the SLP Media Team, the meeting provided an opportunity to assess the implementation of the surgical exercise and gather feedback directly from members of the team involved.
Discussions examined areas that worked well, as well as gaps and challenges encountered during the campaign.
The team also considered practical measures that could improve the organization and delivery of similar surgical campaigns in the future.
Dr. Konteh emphasized the importance of first-hand feedback in assessing healthcare activities and identifying areas for improvement.
He said lessons from the campaign would inform the hospital’s planning and coordination while supporting efforts to improve the quality and effectiveness of services provided to beneficiaries.
The review forms part of the hospital’s efforts to use experience from its healthcare interventions to strengthen subsequent surgical campaigns.
