Police have declared wanted an employee of MAC Cement (MACCEM) who allegedly collected money by fraudulent means from a long list of customers and in the process defrauded the company and is now on the run.

Jihad Fawaz, according to reports, also cost the company about Le 600millions loss from the scam in addition to defrauding an undisclosed amount of money from various customers on the pretext of supplying cement which he never did.

Independent Observer Newspaper reports that, several customers paid for as much as 1,000 bags of cement directly to him bypassing the official channel of payment so they cannot now hold the company liable.

We gathered that Jihad also issued series of bounced cheques as refund payments and bought vehicles which the company has taken possession of to recover its own money.

Now the Sierra Leone Police will unseal a wanted notice for his arrest with the help of INTERPOL. He is said to be hibernating somewhere in west Africa. The police want him to come and help with the investigation, specifically in identifying those he is claiming have to pay him, according to an official of MACCEM.
