President Julius Maada Bio has announced seven new appointments to key government institutions, including the Ministries of Finance and Agriculture, Food Security, as well as the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) and the Conservation Trust Fund.
The appointments, contained in a public notice issued by the Office of the President on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, are subject to approval by Parliament where applicable.
Ms. Isata Marah has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Finance II, while Dr. Isata Kamanda and Ing. Bryan Smart-Kanu have been named Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food Security I and II, respectively.
The President also appointed Mr. Ahmed C. Jalloh as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Conservation Trust Fund, while Ms. Jenneh Jabati has been appointed Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT).
At NASSIT, Mr. Chernor Mamoud Jalloh has been appointed Director General, with Mr. Mohamed Bangura taking up the position of Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance.
The Office of the President stated that the appointments form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and improve institutional effectiveness across key sectors of government.
