The President, Julius Maada Bio in his condolence message to fire victims of the Funkia community promised to replace and rebuild major losses due to the fire incident.

“My heart reaches out to the community affected by the Funkia Goderich Fire Disaster that occurred on Christmas Day. Thankfully no death or injuries were reported. The major loss, mainly economic, will be rebuilt and replaced”.

The president renders thanks to the National Disaster Management Agency and emergency personnel for their tireless work in managing the situation.

He also thank residents of the community for their support and assistance to the victims and stated such practice brings hope to the collective humanity as a people.

“Thank you to the National Disaster Management Agency and emergency personnel for working tirelessly to manage the inferno. Thanks to the Funkia Goderich community for your solidarity and assistance toward those affected. It rekindles hope in our collective humanity as a people”.

The President concluded by stating that he awaits the Comprehensive Fire Disaster Assessment Report to profound solutions to help rebuild the community and promised to meet with the people soon.
