President Bio Decorates Newly Promoted RSLAF Generals at Oath-Taking Ceremony
Sahid Bangura President Julius Maada Bio on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, presided over the decoration and oath-taking ceremony for newly promoted generals of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), urging them to uphold integrity in the discharge of their duties.
During the ceremony, President Bio congratulated the officers on their promotions and encouraged them to demonstrate integrity and responsible leadership as they assume their new responsibilities.
The President also commended the officers’ family members for their support throughout their years of military service, acknowledging their contribution to the officers’ professional journeys.
The ceremony formally recognised the officers’ promotions and marked an important milestone in their military careers.
