The Office of the Clerk of Parliament has announced that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Hon. Ibrahim Tawa Conteh, will recommence public hearings on the Auditor General’s Report for the fiscal year 2022. The hearings are scheduled to begin on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Committee Room One of the Parliament building in Freetown.

This important session aims to scrutinize the financial accounts and activities of various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) as detailed in the Auditor General’s Report. The hearings provide a platform for transparency and accountability in the management of public funds.

Hon. Members of Parliament, Auditees, and Representatives from the Audit Service Sierra Leone are expected to attend. Additionally, members of the media, Civil Society Organizations, and other interested parties are encouraged to be present and punctual.

The attached schedule outlines the specific MDAs that are to appear before the PAC during these continued public hearings. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure rigorous oversight of public finances and to uphold principles of good governance in Sierra Leone.
