ReNIP Leader and Presidential candidate in the 24 June 2023 election, Beresford Victor Williams has congratulated Julius Maada Bio as he was re-elected President of Sierra Leone.

Earlier today, the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Mohamed Konneh, declared the incumbent President Julius Maada Bio as the winner of the election, securing a second term in office. President Bio obtained 56.17 percent of the votes, while Kamara trailed behind with 41.16 percent.

Bio’s victory is a testament to his popularity among the Sierra Leonean people. He is seen as a strong leader who has made significant progress in improving the lives of his people.

During his first term, Bio has overseen a number of important reforms, including the introduction of free quality education, the expansion of healthcare services, and the fight against corruption. He has also worked to improve relations with Sierra Leone’s neighbors and with the international community.
