Rokel Commercial Bank participated in the Environment Protection Agency Sierra Leone (EPA-SL) World Environment Day 2026 Green Run held on Saturday, 6 June 2026, as part of activities marking global observance of environmental awareness and climate action.
The event, held under the theme “Climate Action,” brought together institutions, organisations, and individuals from across Sierra Leone to promote environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and sustainable living. The Green Run began at the historic Cotton Tree in Freetown and ended at Kallon Car Park along Beach Road.
Representatives of Rokel Commercial Bank Mathew Kai Kai, Soko Kai Samba, Joseph Quee, and Ozobia Samuel Davies joined other participants in the event to show support for environmental sustainability efforts.

The bank’s participation reflects broader efforts by corporate institutions to support environmental awareness and promote responsible resource use as part of sustainable development initiatives.
Climate change continues to pose significant challenges globally, and stakeholders across sectors are increasingly engaging in initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental resilience.
The EPA-SL organised the Green Run as part of its annual World Environment Day activities to raise awareness on environmental protection and climate action.
