At the unveiling ceremony of the Queen Biba Blog brand, Joseph Sannoh, president of the Salone Association of Bloggers, clarified his personal relationship with blogging and outlined the association’s goals.

“I am not a blogger, although I am often on social media,” Sannoh stated. “I am one of the most talked-about social media personalities.”

Sannoh credited I.B Blog for his understanding of blogging in the country, explaining that I.B Blog brought bloggers together, which led to the formation of the association. He emphasized his desire for bloggers to operate under guiding principles and unite for a common purpose. “It was because I.B Blog contacted me,” he said.

Sannoh stressed the importance of using blogging to promote national development, while also holding the government accountable for its performance. He expressed concern about child protection issues, blaming parental negligence for children spending excessive time on mobile phones without supervision or educational focus.

He concluded by outlining the duties of the newly formed bloggers association: uniting bloggers, registering and licensing them, providing training, enforcing disciplinary measures, and offering support.
