Hon. Justice Adrian J. Fisher on Tuesday 14th December, 2021 in no uncertain terms warned legal representatives of all accused and the prosecution to desist forthwith from making any statement that would politicise the court of law.

“This is not the court of politics,” the no-nonsense Judge warned, “We do not practice politics here.” Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher sounded the warning following a concern raised by the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Lead Prosecutor, Calvin T. Mantsebo, who rejected to the representation of Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara Esq. as one of the legal representatives of Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, the 2018 presidential candidate of the erstwhile ruling APC.

The ACC’s Lead Prosecutor argued that JFK Esq. is a potential additional witness for the prosecution.

The Satellite reported that, Hon. Justice Fisher stood down to rule on whether it is legal, ethical or moral for JFK to continue his representation or be restrained.

After 15 minutes, the court resumed and the Judge ruled in favour of JFK, referencing the Sierra Leone Legal Practitioners Act No, 47 of 2000.
