Former All People’s Congress (APC) Party Presidential candidate for the 2018 elections, Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara has encouraged Sierra Leoneans to promote local contents.

Dr. Samura Kamara made this call while shopping for foodstuffs for his house at one of the local shops in Freetown.

According to Dr. Samura Kamara’s proposal, Sierra Leone may overcome most of its problems by switching from consumption to production under exceptional leadership.

He claimed that the country faces numerous difficulties primarily because it is a consuming rather than a producing nation.

He asserted further that if the country is prosperous, three-quarters of its problems may be resolved, while outlining the difficulties the country’s local content sector faces in growing inside communities, citing issues like unemployment, poverty, crime and insecurity, among others.

He said: “We must get rid of the sharing formula and put the production formula in its stead. Because of the country’s fertile soil, its people fared well in the agricultural sector. The vast uncultivated land, not the natural mineral treasures we can see, is the hope of this nation”.

The former presidential candidate used the opportunity to promised to put Sierra Leone on the market. He stated: “It is unacceptable that we are unable to feed ourselves and must import the majority of the food we eat. We must get the nation moving; all it needs is leadership that is aware of the process and capable of guiding it. I can handle it”.

He urged Sierra Leoneans to choose the country’s next leader based on his or her moral fiber, competence, capacity and dedication.

He said in order to attract investors, the rule of law, law, and order, educational advancement and other intangible assets must be prioritised.
