The Presidential Candidate of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Samura Kamara has asked the Chief Electoral Commissioner and all regional Commissioners to resign.
Kamara made this demand in a Press conference in Freetown today Wednesday 14th June at the Brook field hotel in Freetown.
Dr. Samura States “Mr. Mohamed Konneh and all other Commissioners ECSL should resign and replaced by an internationally accredited electoral body to conduct a free and fair election..And this demand is time bound. It should be done in 72 hrs”
Dr. Samura revealed that from the actions of the electoral commission of Sierra Leone, it is obvious that they have something else up in their sleeves to hide. He described their campaign as one of intimidation, molestation, embarrassment, brutality his supporters have endured in the hands of the Security forces in the South East.
He further expresses his dissatisfaction in the Printing of the Voters ID Card which he said 90% have been badly printed. He described the printing of the Voters ID Card as an Injustice to the People of Sierra Leone and yet still no one has been brought to book .
Is this within the mandate of Samurai, or another action to describe him as a comedian? Hmm..me man, na for thread cautiously for the sake of peaceful co-existence! Sierra Leone must enjoy the peace it earned two decades ago. Samurai should not consume his own time and that of his great-grandchildren yet unborn.

Samura Kamara’s comment is not worth a grain of salt. He’s got no basis for such demand, and that it came a few days to elections shows his nervousness at his assurance of utter defeat at the polls by the electorate. The electoral commission is doing an excellent job and must be commended.

Yes because the ECSL are not credible in there work despite from being SLPP or APC this is the reality they are not qualify to conduct a credible elections.
How can you printed black and white ID Cards for the state like that while the rulling party is jubilating all over and the other side political parties are not happy with it can you please call on the ID Cards back for better printing before conducting the election?
As an electoral commissional you have to make sure all political parties are happy with your work before conducting a peaceful free and fare credible elections

This is the right thing we expect of you, we are asking the international community to ask because, Samura Kamara is speaking the mind of the suffering Sierra Leonean.

We need free, peaceful and credible election
Samura Kamara has spoken the minds of us the masses. It’s never too late to do the right thing. Let them do the right thing or resign. He’s not the one that employs them but he is working for the state which means he is answerable to the masses. They should not only be there to serve the ruling government and in fact, but they should also satisfy the opposition than the government because in African politics the opposition is always in disadvantage.
Now he has spoken. The signs are very clear that ECSL motives are determine to rig the election. So shift from one point now will expose all their dubious acts.
Samura Kamara is a comedian. He always says the impossible things. The greatest mistake APC has ever done is choosing Samura Kamara as their flag bearing. The ID is totally mess in this country today I went with my aunty from orange office the lady said she is not going to use that ID card because the face is dark

Kudos to Dr. Samura Kamara. The manner in which the ECSL commissioner and his team are behaving is a clear manifestation of election rigging. He has shown us that he is not competent for the job and such people are not fit to give position of trust like this. His attitude towards this job can undermine the democracy we are yearning to install.
I supported your requested you made from the people of this country and the international community that the commissioner should reign. This is a job in which the individual must shows some amount of apolitical behavior but the commissioner has shown us the party he belongs and that has rendered him bias in executing his role as a commissioner.

Please APC Tolongbo guys if your leader is not prepared for this election let him resign. How can a single political party asked all the commissioners to resign, wherein there are 13 political parties that contested for the election, that is stupid perception. Let him wait, when he dies after the election he will go and tell his apc ancestors what to do. But in Sierra Leone he is nothing.
He already knows the outcome of his defeat. APC (ur party) conducted election and Prezo Bio defeated him. Who else will conduct election for him to win.

The Thirst for POWER ibu the S.L.P.P,and their plans to ridge the elections made them not to see the mess this konneh boy has made in the electoral process in Sierra Leone politics.Can you the supporters of SLPP ask yourself why Christiana Thorp came in as a NEC officer in 2007 general elections? It was the same mess the then NEC officer was going to do,to rigg the elections.As far as the activities of the SLPP campaign process against the main opposition is concerned, the intimidation by the army and the police in the south and south-eastern part of the country,it shows a signal that SLPP don’t want a peaceful election in the whole country. You campaign in the strongest holds of APC,no intimidation by APC but when APC goes to the south and south eastern part of the country,problems,Why are the SLPP supporters doing this? If Dr.Samora refused to accept the ECSL commissioner,is it a crime? He is now a Leader and an Elderly Citizen of Sierra Leone and has all the rights to make his decisions about the ECSL.You like it or not,Konneh has to resign and if Dr.Samura,becomes the president of this country Sierra Leone,Konneh should be arrested and put in jail for corruption.
