The leading aspirant for the 2023 Presidential flagbearer position of the main opposition All Peoples Congress Party (APC), Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, has replied to a letter sent by the Sierra Leone Police concerning his proposed visit to Kambia District in the North of the country.

The letter was sent to the Sierra Leone Police to allay the fears about possible security conce regarding the planned visit.

According to a letter from the office of the APC 2023 Flagbearer aspirant the Purpose of Dr Samura Kamara’s Visit to Kambia Dis Grassroots Women’s Development organisation, adding that details of the planned event was earlier communicated to the SLP by letter dates 19th July , 2022 written by the Kambia District stakeholders on behalf of the new organisation.

The office of the 2023 APC flagbearer aspirant also stated that the SLP should not have any security fears and concerns about his visit to the District, as the planned event is not going to. be processional and is there not cove by sec 17(1) of the Public Order Act of 1965 It added that he would not organise such an event without recourse to the police for approval.

The APC leading aspirant also informed the SLP that his office made several attempts to communicate with them on the issue ut to no avail. He also added that his office always open to them for discussion on the matter and the possi way forward on the Kambia trip so that the Event will hold
