The Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially announced that tomorrow, Saturday, March 1, 2025, marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH.

The sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon was confirmed at the Sudair and Tumair observatories in Saudi Arabia.

Accordingly, Saturday, March 1, 2025, will be the first day of Ramadan 1446 AH.

Ramadan, one of Islam’s holiest months, marks the period when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad, holding immense spiritual significance.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, refraining from food, drink, and other physical needs as acts of worship and devotion. It is also a time for increased charity, self-discipline, and spiritual growth.

This ruling offers clarity and guidance to Muslims globally, allowing them to prepare for the upcoming month of fasting and spiritual reflection.
