Sierra Leone has signed a Bilateral Agreement with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to improve the Air Service and strengthened the ties between the two countries.

This agreement came on the side-lines of the of the ICAN2023 conference which began on the 3rd -7th December, 2023 that is hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which provides the opportunity for states to go into Air Service Agreements as per the Chicago Convention of 1944.

According to the Sierra Leone’s Ambassador Extra Ordinary and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fanday Turay Esq., Sierra Leone has signed a Bilateral Air Service Agreement with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the partnership in the aviation sector.

“ ICAN2023 hosted by kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides the opportunity for states to go into air services agreement as per the Chicago convention of 1944. Forging partnership in the aviation sector, SL has just signed a bilateral air services agreement with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This will provide great opportunity and open more doors in the SL aviation sector as envisioned by HE President Bio.” He stated
