DSP Alimamy Koroma from the Sierra Leone Police Traffic Department, has disclosed the amount of fatal a accidents that occurred in Sierra Leone, April 2022.

Speaking on the Police Press Conference dated, he disclosed that they have recorded twenty seven(27) fatal matters for the month of April alone.

From the 6th to recently, he said, a total of seven areas in the country  recorded fatal accidents with Mile 91 recording the highest.

His records explained in details is as  follows: from the 6th of April in Mile 91 they recorded two main and two fatal accidents, and one Fatal accident( which was the late FBC graduate Emadu Rogers) on the 7th April at Central Division.

On the 14th of the same month, at Bo East Division and Tankoro Division they recorded one male and  one female respectively.

At Masiaka Division, on the 16th April, they recorded a burnt jeep from which four males were caught in fire. On the same 16th at Waterloo, recorded one male and on the 18th at the same waterloo, one female and one male recorded.

On the 20th April, Darul Division, one male recorded. On the 23rd at Mile 91, nine(9) bodies(five males four females) were recorded. On the 24th at Rutile, they recorded one accident with two females and one male.

And recently recorded one male at mile 91, which gives a total of twenty seven(27) fatal accident (nineteen males and eight females)

DSP Alimamy Koroma Said they had fall short of investigations which had taken them a-back but however, assured that they have stepped up to see how best they can be able to manage the situation in terms of investigations and see how best they can get drivers onboard to mitigate what has happened and cut down the high number of accidents.
