Sierra Leone is reported to be in need of teachers but more so for the topics of Maths and Science.

Reports from Bangladesh inform that Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali has held discussions with Sierra Leone Deputy Foreign Minister Strasser-King in Kuwait on Thursday May 28th 2015 on sidelines of an OIC summit.

Mrs. Ebun Strasser-King is said to have “gratefully” recalled the Bangladeshi peacekeepers’ positive contribution as peacekeepers and then said her government would soon send a formal invitation to a group of former peacekeepers of Bangladesh to visit her country.

She then furthered that Sierra Leone was in dire need of teachers especially to teach mathematics and sciences, whom they would like to recruit from Bangladesh.

In response, Ali expressed Bangladesh’s willingness to assist in all aspects. He also mentioned that Bangladesh was considering opening a full diplomatic mission in Sierra Leone. The reports say that both ministers agreed that the move would further consolidate bilateral relations.
