The ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has issued a formal public notice instructing party executives, supporters, members, and the broader business community to cease all official dealings with Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally under the party’s banner.
In an official statement released on September 19, 2026, by the Office of the National Publicity Secretary, the party directed that no member or representative is authorised to conduct business, negotiate, or engage in official activity with Tarawally using the SLPP’s authority, name, logo, or party structures without explicit clearance from party leadership.
The directive extends beyond internal membership. The party explicitly cautioned the general public, corporate bodies, financial institutions, and development partners against entering into any financial, commercial, contractual, or political transactions with Tarawally under the guise of SLPP representation.
According to the disclaimer signed by SLPP National Publicity Secretary Moses Sellu Mambu, any individual engaging with Tarawally while claiming to act on behalf of the party does so without official backing unless formally communicated by the party’s executive authority.
The SLPP stated that the notice was issued to safeguard the integrity of the party’s brand, governance structures, and official engagements, while preventing unauthorised representation.
