The ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is determined to win the Eastern District of Kono in the 24 June elections.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Movement, Aerean Steven Smart Gegra said that the principal reason for the movement is to ensure President Bio gets ‘a resounding’ victory in the district.
He added that the movement was successful in 2018 when they used motorbikes in campaigns.
The CEO said he is motivated to replicate what he did in 2018 because of the development he has seen in Kono during the president’s ing that the president has delivered on his ‘New Direction’ manifesto.
He admonished locals of the district to vote for Bio in order for the district to continue on the path of development.
Responding to Gegra, the Youth ‘Mama’ for Kono, Sia Evelyn Nyandemo appreciated the Movement for their effort and praised Bio for “being a champion of women’s empowerment”.
She referenced her elation to the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (GEWE) Act passed recently.
