The Ministry of Sports (MOS), in collaboration with the National Sports Authority (NSA), has mobilized more than 500 young people to participate in a major cleaning exercise at the Bo Stadium.

The exercise, held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, brought together members of the Green Ladies and Green Men Vanguard Organisation in Bo City as part of efforts to improve the condition and appearance of the country’s sports facilities.

Addressing participants before the exercise, National Sports Coordinator Mr. Lamin Sesay commended the youth for their willingness, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the maintenance of the Bo Stadium.

Mr. Sesay described their participation as a demonstration of patriotism and encouraged them to take pride in contributing to national development through community volunteerism.

He explained that the initiative was undertaken through collaboration between the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority and forms part of the Authority’s statutory responsibility to ensure that sports facilities remain clean, safe and attractive to the public.

The NSA and the Ministry of Sports also commended the people of Bo for their commitment and called on other communities across the country to support similar initiatives aimed at promoting community ownership and protecting national sports assets.
