Statistics Sierra Leone wishes to inform all field staff who are yet to be paid that payment had re-commenced for the remaining 70% of field allowances. Stats SL. wants it to be known more than 10,000 of all field staff nationwide had been paid and only about 4,000 field staff have outstanding balances.

These are field staff who fall in the categories below, as decided by Management at a meeting held on Wednesday 1st June 2022: •

Current payment through commercial banks across Sierra Leone is done only to those who worked 51% to 70% of their assigned work load; Next will be paid those who worked between 31% to 50% of assigned work load.

This group of field staff will be paid 50% only of the outstanding 70% to reflect the work done because replacement staff were recruited to complete the task and they must be paid; and

All field staff who were recruited to complete the work load of others during the mopping up exercise will also be paid based on the level of work load executed as it is possible to assess this using the server. The above payments are still being remitted to the commercial banks who are now paying directly to field staff in order to expedite the payment process.

They therefore assure field staff who are yet to receive their allowances that their turn will soon come. All persons who served the Mid-Term Census diligently in various capacities will eventually receive their allowances. Important

Meanwhile, All those who worked between 1-30% of total workload will not receive any additional payment because they had been paid 30% of field allowance before deployment.

Stats SL. had to redeploy other staff who went and completed the remaining 70% of workload in those areas. It is these new staff that will be paid the 70% allowances.
