Tension gripped Mile 91 after residents reportedly stopped a private jeep suspected of being linked to an alleged abduction attempt.

According to eyewitnesses, a passenger in the vehicle escaped by jumping from the moving jeep and sustained a broken leg during the incident.

Residents said they intercepted the vehicle after receiving reports that the passenger had been forced inside.

During a search of the jeep, community members reportedly found items including Old Bo Boys Association regalia, a Sierra Leone Police hat, and a police uniform.

The discovery raised concerns among residents, some of whom questioned whether the items were being used unlawfully.

Several community members called for increased vigilance, particularly among people who accept lifts from private vehicles.

Locals also demanded a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As of the time of publication, no official statement had been issued by the Sierra Leone Police or other authorities.

Investigations are expected to determine the ownership of the items found in the vehicle and whether any offences were committed.
