Tears as 2 Females Drown in Congo Water Community Drainage
A sudden torrential rain that occurred on Saturday 9th July 2022 immediately after the Edul-adha (Dunkay-Sally pray day) performed by Muslims around the world has left two young ladies dead at the Congo water community, east of Freetown.
According to information, the ladies after observing the Dunlay-Sally prayers at the mosque returned home alive. Later, they decided to go to the market to buy a few cooking items during the heavy downpour. On their way home, they slipped and drown in open deep drainage in the community and their corpses were later discovered in another community.
Police officers and some community youths conducted a search that aided the discovery of the corpses. The remains were handed over to various family members and they took them to the nearest masjid for prayers before burial.
