Two Fugitives Shot Dead by Quick Reaction Force in Another Alleged Coup Attempt
Aaron Parker On the one-year anniversary of the failed coup attempt in Sierra Leone, two fugitive military officers, Captain Aiah B.A. Senesie and Captain Thomas L. Konteh, were killed in a gunfight with the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF).
According to initial reports, the two captains, who had fled the country after the failed coup on November 26, 2023, allegedly returned with plans to orchestrate another coup. Acting on intelligence, the QRF intercepted them in a fierce confrontation that led to their deaths.
Captain Senesie and Captain Konteh were central figures in last year’s attempted coup, which was thwarted by state security forces.
After the failed attempt, the two officers evaded capture, leaving the country to evade prosecution. Their return, purportedly to carry out another coup plot, raised alarms within security circles.

All those whose comments favoured the fugitives are enemied of the state, that so called captain Aiah senessie had been releasing audios threatening to stage another coup plot. It’s good that they had been eliminated, any other intending coupist and their sponsors and all those who are planning evil for the destabilization of this country , will surely be eliminated through death by the special grace of God.
Too much of blood shedding now, & it’s terribly dangerous for Sierra Leone. If these guys were up to some mischief why had then not been professionally apprehended to face investigations & justice? May the blood of any shed unjustifiably take avenge on their killers. This has gone too far now in this our beloved land.

It was unwise and unintelligent to have shot them dead. It confirms Incompetence and ineptitude by the government. No two persons could mount a successful coup in Sierra Leone. Police Officers and soldiers are not judges. The correct thing to have done was to “taser” them rendering them mentally and physically incapable for arrest and interrogations to ascertain their facilitators, supporters, and team. Oh God help this nation Sierra Leone. Having read all the comments I pray that God will open the hearts of all blind supporters of evil. On Nov 26 2024, 18 gallant military and police officers were killed by rebellious soldiers after breaking into the military armoury, yet people said it was not a coup. The two captains killed were wanted men for the previous coup, yet people don’t still believe. May God be the judge for this political insicerity.
