Zainab Hawa Bangura, a Sierra Leonean has been nominated for the 50 African Trailblazers award which is scheduled for 1st May 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The event which is coinciding with Workers Day will recognize 50 African trailblazers who have made great impact in their different fields and leading the way in science and technology, finance, sports, and entrepreneurship.

African 50 Trailblazer Awards nominees for the year 2023 were selected by Dashboard Africa Research Institute with the help of a select group of freelance journalists to guarantee the highest level of integrity.

The nominees are selected from various African countries, including Sierra Leone, Djibouti, The Gambia, Togo, and Mauritania, among others.

The event will feature different dignitaries from across Africa to grace the occasion which will includ heads of state, former heads of state, vice presidents, diplomats, and other notable personalities.

The purpose of inviting these dignitaries presence of these dignitaries is to underscores the importance the event in recognizing the achievements of African trailblazers and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

Their presence is a testament to the significance of the event in promoting African excellence and development.
