At the launch of the National Media Viability and Investment Conference Thursday, the Hon Minister of Information and Communications, Mohamed Rahman Swarray, was heard stressing that all what President Bio promised in his election manifesto he is achieving.

Tok and Do at its best!

The Minister was referring mainly to the promises President Bio made to the media which are all coming to pass now in just 4 years.

Many people were so scared before President Bio came to office to get involved in anything connected with the media because of the persecution those in it were facing especially from successive All People’s Congress administrations which never had any respect for the media and if given the chance, to finally destroy it.

It is not only the promises that President Bio made to the media that are coming to pass but ALL the promises he made are being manifested now.

Among the promises that HE President Bio made was one about food sufficiency.

Before President Bio came, there were tractors in this country but not as many as now.

Before President Bio came, the tractors that were there were meant for the private uses of only those connected with the APC party.

There was a program of tractorization in the Sanda Magbolonthor Chiefdom in the now Karene District but the presence of the tractors never yielded any dividend for country because many APC stalwarts then just collected tractors and kept in their backyards as a false pretence that they were Master Farmers to impress neighbors and girlfriends.

Those were the days when some APC stalwarts wear rain boots that go up to their legs pretending that they had just returned from some farming exercises.

Nothing achieved!!

Now that a person who is very serious about food sufficiency for country, is in office as President of Sierra Leone in the name of Julius Maada Bio, it’s all hands on deck!!

Tomabom in the Bonthe District south of Sierra Leone, Rhombe in the Lokomasama Chiefdom north of Sierra Leone are now utilizing the newfound love for farming and are now growing rice that will soon help in achieving food sufficiency in the country all thanks to the initiative of true tractorization that HE President Bio created for country.

Tractors now are no longer personal properties but rather community properties meant for farming and not keeping for exhibition purposes in some backyard as it was in the days.
