You are politically incorrect, that’s true. Political correctness to me is just intellectual terrorism. I find that really scary, and I/we won’t be intimidated into changing our mind in the 2023 general elections. Everyone isn’t going to love you all the time, as you continue to kill innocent people, and you have introduced man-made poverty which is man-made pain in our nation since you took power in 2018. The truth is that this culture of political correctness has tied the hands of law enforcement around the Republic of Sierra Leone. Political correctness is a war on noticing. Saying something is ‘politically correct’ is often a way of dismissing the voices of the oppressed.

This lie of political correctness is bringing this country down. You just want to break through it all. In this era of political correctness, some people seem unaware that being squeamish about words can mean being blind to realities. The two pillars of ‘political correctness’ are, a) willful ignorance, and b) a steadfast refusal to face the truth. Political correctness is the natural continuum from the party line. What we are seeing once again is a self-appointed group of vigilantes imposing their views on others. It is a heritage of communism, but they don’t seem to see this. Political correctness is neither political nor is it correct. It amounts to social censorship, and the sooner we spit it out, the better it comes. If the first words out of your mouth are to make the innocent people cry ‘political correctness!’, chances are very, very high that you are in fact part of the problem in our nation. Political Correctness doesn’t change us, it shuts us up. In a land of freedom we are held political prisoners by the tyranny of political correctness.

In this light, I think you have to judge everything based on your personal taste. And if that means being critical, so be it. I hate political correctness. I absolutely loathe it. What doesn’t polite society mean, in all seriousness, I want to discuss? Human dignity, money, political corruption, bodily functions, religion, loss and despair? These have been the very subjects attracting foreign investors, as a vehicle for the young and old in our. It’s not ‘over-sensitivity’ to ask to be treated with the same dignity and respect shown to others. Political Correctness started out as a movement that intended to protect minorities from harassment. But it has morphed into an excuse for self-righteous zealots to harass people who supposedly offended majorities, even if the majorities don’t actually feel offended as to what is happening in our nation.

Those with unearned privileges often spin things as ‘political correctness’ to further silence those they wish to oppress. Political correctness’ is a label the privileged often use to distract from their privilege and hate. I wouldn’t say the media is without virtue, in fact, I can’t imagine a more dishonest virtue on the 4th April 2022. If you play devil’s advocate with political correctness, you’ll get the horns – deliberate misinterpretation leading to you being fully demonized. Recently, I have seen an increasing amount of disdain for political correctness, and I’ve been wondering why. Why is there so much hatred for a concept that was created solely so that people would respect one another?

If you say that something is technically correct, you are suggesting that it is wrong – the adverb before “correct” implies a “but”. However, to say that a statement is politically correct hints at something more insidious. Namely, that the speaker of Parliament is acting in bad faith. He has ulterior motives, and is hiding the truth in order to advance an agenda or to signal moral superiority. To say that someone is being “politically correct” discredits them twice. First, they are wrong. Second, and more damningly, they know it. I think that the most politically correct finger-pointing that anyone can ever do is to finger-point while standing in front of a really big mirror.

Such public shaming is rampant and sometimes appropriate, but unfortunately, in recent years, shaming has morphed into coordinated reputation murders, and anyone who is slightly insensitive or not politically correct enough can be led to a public character lynching without due process. People often call fighting discrimination being ‘politically correct’ because they don’t want their own unearned privileges challenged. Everything I think of now is too rude to actually say something against this SLPP Paopa, vehement, miscreants and shenanigans in government due to governance, I rest my case till 2023.

It may not be politically correct to say that lunatics are running the displaced nation, but it is correct to say politically they are running Sierra Leone. People often call fighting tribalism being ‘politically correct’ when they don’t want to confront their own prejudice. In all ages there arise protests from tender men or women against the bitterness of criticism, especially social criticism. It’s just not politically correct enough. If it were up to me, I’d rather we be called “residentially challenged. This is my Sierra Leone, nothing to talk home about!
