Why is it that, where ever he goes these days, the Minister of Youth Affairs, Mohamed Orman Bangura, carries a gun with him? Why has Mohamed Orman Bangura become so scared of his personal security? Does he not believe the armed security detail assigned to him?

In a recent brawl with a popular youth leader in Bo, Orman had to draw out a gun to scare people around him. Is this the way a cabinet minister behaves in public places?

President Julius Maada Bio should have a word with his blue-eyed boy Youth Affairs Minister. Wherever he goes these days, trouble follows him. He has been to Mile 91 and Tonkolili recently. Violence erupted after he left those areas. He is now at the center of allegations that he is responsible for the violence that marred sectional elections in Tonkolili district.

Orman has said publicly that, by force or by coercion, the Chief Minister would emerge as the SLPP flag bearer in 2028.

He is fighting to replace the popular grassroots politician Seybom Kanu as Tonkolili district Chairman of the SLPP. Saybom is a strong supporter of the Hon. VP Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.
Mohamed Orman Bangura should behave like a cabinet minister. He should stop behaving like a street boy. As a civilian, he should stop using guns to threaten peaceful citizens. After all, he has an armed bodyguard provided for him by the state. Why then is he using a gun to threaten peaceful citizens?

Orman should be reminded that, political power does not last forever. Where is Palo Conteh today??Where is President Ernest Bai Koroma now? Where is Pat Sowe now? Where is Sengu Koroma today?

A word to the wise is enough!

President Bio should withdraw Orman from all lower-level elections in Tonkolili district in order to stop the widespread violence in that district.
