16 out of the 17 candidates for the flag bearership of the APC have raised concerns about the ballot papers in the ongoing National Delegate Conference holding at Makeni

Proceedings at the All Peoples Congress (APC) National Delegates Conference (NDC) have stalled owing to objections by some of the flagbearer aspirants. The pausing of the Conference has instigated what appears to be agitation on the part of the APC rank and file. The disappointed members of Conference are shouting choruses of ‘We want vote!’We dae vote!’

The basis for the objections is not immediately known but former President Koroma has intervened to rally the ‘troops’ back to business. He reminded Conference that this was a court-ordered NDC with a strict timeline which the APC must meet if the beleaguered party must participate in the June 25 general elections.

Prior to the commencement of this NDC, the party had endured a fractious and painstaking Lower-Level elections which culminated into what many felt was the final stage of the party’s political trials.

Fmr President Koroma and the objecting flagbearers are correctly locked in a ‘family meeting’ at the end of which it is expected that the much court delayed APC NDC would progress to finality.
