In preparation for its National Delegates Conference slated for early next year, the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party has yesterday 12th December 2022, commenced preparations for Lower-Level Conventions, with registration of new members, audit and update of the Party’s national register countrywide.

This is according to the Secretary and Head of the Secretariat – Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC), Honourable Abdul Kargbo.

He explained that as part of the Party’s moves in dealing with membership issues, a Sub-Committee of 5 Persons shall be resolving all unresolved membership issues pursuant to Article 10 of the APC 2022 Constitution.

He said in exercise of the powers conferred on the ITGC by the High Court of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the October 2022 Transitional Rules and Regulations as gazette, the ITGC in consultation with the Transitional Interim Internal Elections Management Committee (TIIEMC) has agreed that Tuesday 20th December, 2022 is hereby declared the day for the conduct of all Ward elections of the All-People’s Congress (AP) Party across the country.

Hon. Kargbo went on to inform that on Friday 23rd December, 2022 the Party will conduct all Constituency elections across the country, adding that on Wednesday 28th December, 2022 the conduct of all District elections across the country will be held.

Friday 30th December, 2022 the Honourable informed, has been declared the day for the conduct of all regional elections of the All-People’s Congress (APC) Party across the country and that on Tuesday 3d January, 2023, the Party will conduct elections of the National Union of APC Students (NUAS), Persons With Disability Wing and The National Veterans Congress respectively.

He said on Thursday 5th January 2023, will be the conduct of elections of the National Young Congress and National Women’s Congress and that 7th-19th January 2023, will be the conduct of Diaspora Chapter, Branch and Regional Conventions.
