The leadership of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party has reconciled the Mayor of Freetown; Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr and Deputy Mayor; Osman Tolo Koroma.

According to sources, Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr and her Deputy were not working together. The sources also stated that, the Deputy Mayor; Osman Tolo Koroma who doubles as the Councillor for Ward 404 in the East part of Freetown always refuse to participate on the projects of Her Worship. It also added that, the Deputy Mayor has not been participating in the activities of colleague Councillors that voted him as Deputy Mayor.

Based on the working relationship in the Freetown City Council, thirty-five out of 36 Councillors signed the “removal impeachment letter” which they used to impeach Osman Koroma for undermining Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyer and working in concert with the Chief Administrator (CA) to stall the progressive activities of the council. He was also accused of sabotaging the All People’s Congress (APC) by engaging in “anti-party activities”.

After a long battle at the Freetown City Council, the leadership of the APC; Amb. Osman Foday Yansaneh, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray and others invited the Councillors to a meeting at the Patry’s office, Railway Line in Freetown and reconciled Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr and Osman Tolo Koroma.
