APC Supporters Cross Over to SLPP at Ebema Movement Launch in Kenema District
A number of supporters of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) have reportedly crossed over to the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) during the launch of the Ebema Movement in Gaama Daama, Kenema District.
The supporters publicly declared their decision to join the SLPP and pledged their commitment to the party’s activities and programmes.
Their declaration came during the launch of the Ebema Movement, an initiative championed by the Julius Maada Bio Women’s Wing on behalf of First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio.

The new members also expressed their support for the Ebema Movement, signalling their willingness to participate in its activities and contribute to its objectives.
The development adds to the political activities surrounding the Ebema Movement, as supporters gathered in Gaama Daama to demonstrate their allegiance to the ruling party and the initiative led by the SLPP Women’s Wing.
The defectors’ move was presented as a demonstration of their renewed political commitment to the SLPP and their support for the leadership of President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio.
