Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has disclosed his reasons for endorsing Mohamed Gento Kamara as the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) mayoral candidate for the Freetown City Council (FCC).

In a recent engagement with party supporters  residentt Bio expressed his reasons for endorsing Kamara, highlighting his ambition for Freetown and the country as a whole.

He emphasized his high ambitions for Freetown and Sierra Leone, underscoring the need for a capable and dedicated candidate to bring about meaningful transformation.

My ambition for Freetown and Sierra Leone remains high. That is why I endorsed Mohamed Gento Kamara (Gento Kamara), the Man of the People as the SLPP Mayoral candidate for Freetown,” he said.

He described Mohamed Gento Kamara, a well-known entrepreneur, as a perfect fit for the job due to his proven problem-solving skills and strong connection with the grassroots.

Recognizing Kamara’s experience as one of the largest employers in the private sector, President Bio expressed confidence in his understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the people, particularly those at the grassroots level.

Mohamed Gento is able and ready to roll up his sleeves to work tirelessly with our SLPP Government and with communities in Freetown to bring meaningful transformation that will benefit the people,” the president said.

He emphasized Kamara’s readiness to work tirelessly alongside the SLPP Government and Freetown communities to bring about positive change that would benefit the people.

President Bio stressed that Kamara would prioritize engaging with the people and seeking their partnership rather than pursuing superficial accolades that have little impact on the grassroots population. He further emphasized their joint commitment to working with the people and for the people of Sierra Leone.

President Bio urged the public to support him and the SLPP in the upcoming June 24th, 2023 General Elections, asserting that a vote for their party would signify a vote for continued development and progress in Sierra Leone, including the Freetown Western Area.

With President Bio’s endorsement and a shared vision for transformation, Mohamed Gento Kamara aims to secure victory in the mayoral race and bring positive change to Freetown City Council. The stage is set for a competitive election, and all eyes are on the upcoming polls to determine the future leadership of Freetown.
