President Bio Considers Sharing Power with Political Rivals, Says Adviser Alpha Khan
President Julius Maada Bio is reportedly exploring a power-sharing initiative, according to his presidential adviser and former APC minister, Alhaji Alpha Kanu.
In an exclusive interview with Truth Media, Kanu, who recently joined the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), revealed that the President is considering drafting legislation to enable collaboration with political parties that participated in the last general elections.
The initiative, Kanu explained, is designed to promote political inclusivity, reduce tensions, and create a more cooperative environment within Sierra Leone’s political arena.
He emphasized that the move reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening democratic governance and fostering unity among diverse political actors in the country.
