Former Secretary General of the APC, Osman Foday Yansaneh, in a recent engagement with stakeholders of the party, gave the message of hope to them, as well as the grassroots of the party that come 2023 the party will take power from the SLPP. He stressed that the people are fed up with the current government and are yearning for the return of the APC, which they see as a viable option.

FodayYansaneh said that there is ample evidence that the SLPP government has been unable to address the economic challenges facing, the people, and things have deteriorated, with hardship everywhere. He furthered that the ordinary man is finding it almost impossible to put food on the table for his family, as the cost of living continues to rise daily. He also disclosed that the people have not been able to express their rent discontent over the prevailing hardship, as a result, they have resolute their minds to make their complaints in the ballot box and boot the SLPP out.

Meanwhile, this perceived unity of the main opposition party has caused sleepless nights for the ruling party; especially
as the economic situation continues to deteriorate, and the most recent indication of more hardship is the soon-to-be-declared increase in the pump price of fuel. When this happens, it is believed that there will be an exponential increase in the prices of all goods in the country, including the cost of living.

Some political analysts say that the failure of the government to reduce the economic burden on the people is working against its chances of a second term in office. They observed that the tour of the President and his team to convince Citizens that their term in office had been beneficial to the nation; is simply an indication that things are not rosy. They maintained that the government has done well in addressing the challenges of its people and does not need to try to convince them to vote for him a second time. His work will speak for him
