Sierra Leonean popular politician, Mohamed Kamarainaba Mansaray has lost the Chairmanship position of his party, Alliance Democratic Party (ADP).

Kamarainba was replaced as Chairman and Leader of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) by George Macauley. He was elected as the party’s new Interim Chairman over the weekend at an Elective Congress held at PPRC.

The popular politician was arrested in 2020 in relation to rape allegation at Diamond Lodge Hotel in Kono, Eastern part of Sierra Leone. Kamarainba was alleged for having relationship affairs with an under-age child which led to his arrest. He has spent over 1 year in Pademba Road Prison.

As his trial continues of the allegation of rape, the executive of the party has elected George Macauley to serve the capacity as Chairman for the party.
