Maada Bio Endorses Kadi Sesay as Running Mate For 2018 Election
Addressing staff and pupils of Kate Mcgareth Junior Secondary School in the Bo district on Monday, Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio said that, if he is reelected as flagbearer of the main opposition SLPP, he will reappoint Dr. Kadi Sesay as his running mate for the 2018 general elections.
“If I become President in 2018, the SLPP would have been the first political party in Sierra Leone to have produced a woman Vice President”, Brig. Rtd. Julius Maada Bio said.
His remarks were received with deafening applause from staff and pupils of the school.
Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio said that, the government he would lead in 2018 will pay special attention to education, which he said, is the effective vehicle through which development could be delivered to any nation.
Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio called on the pupils of Kate Mcgareth Junior Secondary School (a private school) to redouble their efforts and study very hard so that, they can also, in future, play a key role in the development of the country.

He said that the kitchen was no longer for women. “You can also become prominent politicians, bankers, lawyers, journalists if you study hard and earn decent university degrees or other higher certificates in future”, Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio noted.
The SLPP 2012 Presidential candidate disclosed that when the time for politics comes, he shall visit them again. “This is not the time for politics…This is the time to finally kick Ebola out of our country”, he said.
Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio continued his social mobilisation tour in some key towns in the Pujehun district yesterday, after receiving a rousing welcome in Bo on Saturday.
He is expected in Kailahun and Kenema districts on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November, 2015 respectively on the last leg of his social mobilization tour.
