All People’s Congress (APC) Member of Parliament for Karene District, Mohamed Bangura has made a defiant move against his party.

The main opposition party days ago intimidated that they will be boycotting governance due to disagreement with results from 24 June elections from the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL).

The move has been seen as an unprecedented one after almost all elected mayors, chairpersons and members of parliament signed a dossier to comply with the demands of their party.

The APC party has hinted for a rerun of the 2023 multitier election which they believe has discrepancies.

In another news, reports have indicated that senior members of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party are holding dialogue with former President and patriarch of the APC, Ernest Bai Koroma.

Although Koroma retired from active politics years ago, experts believe the sexagenarian still exerts influence in the higher echelons of the party.
