Prominent female Sierra Leonean musician and one of the judges of the House Mates, Salone TV Show, Natasha Beckley is contesting for the position of Deputy National Youth Leader in the upcoming All Peoples Congress (APC), Young Peoples Congress.

Natasha Beckley also known as Swadu is a Sierra Leone female rapper, founder of IAMSL Pageant philanthropist, environmentalist and politician.

This is not her first venture in politics.
In 2018, she was apc parliamentary aspirant for constituency 075 (Bakeh loko chiefdom) Port Loko city, but did not won the symbol as a result of the dual citizenship clause.

“I dreamt about going to parliament, but when one door closes another will open,” Beckley stated.

Again, in 2018, she was elected councillor for Ward 234 in Port Loko City Council, as dual citizens are allowed to enter council. She won with over 70% votes.

 

The rapper recently visited some schools in Sierra Leone to discuss about environment related issues and about the launching of her Trash to Treasure Sierra Leone Project on April 21 this year.

“I care about the environment and I want my high school fans to keep their school environment clean,” Beckley stated.

She further challenged each school that she visited to turn the trash in their school to a treasure art piece.
