The Sierra Leone Police has officially approved police clearance and security coordination for the Liberation People’s Party (LPP) to hold nationwide consultations and grassroots engagements in Pujehun, Kailahun, and Moyamba Districts.
The clearance, issued on 31 August 2026 by Chief Superintendent Ismail Keita on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, was in response to an application from the party dated 27 August 2026.
The engagements, to be led by LPP Chairman and Leader Pastor Mohamed Samuel Kamara (MSK) along with national and district leadership, are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, 3 September 2026 – Pujehun District, 2:00 PM, Pujehun Court Barray
Friday, 4 September 2026 – Kailahun District, 2:00 PM, Kailahun Court Barray
Saturday, 5 September 2026 – Moyamba District, 1:00 PM, Moyamba District Council
The police clearance strictly permits meetings at designated venues only. It does not cover processions, rallies, or jogging, and the use of marshals is prohibited.
The party has been reminded of the provisions of the Public Order Act No. 46 of 1965 and the Road Traffic Regulation, 2007, which shall guide the activities.
The LPP has been directed to liaise with Local Unit Commanders in each district for proper security coordination:
Pujehun: Superintendent Mustapha Goga (076-607-7998)
Kailahun: Superintendent Thaimu Baile Sesay (076-785-120)
Moyamba: Chief Superintendent Sai Bernadette Sandi (078-016-984)
The Regional Police Commanders for the South and East have also been copied on the clearance.
The LPP leadership has expressed appreciation to the Inspector General and the Sierra Leone Police for their professionalism and cooperation in facilitating peaceful democratic political engagement.
The party has assured the police and the public that all three engagements will be conducted peacefully, responsibly, and strictly within the conditions of the clearance and the laws of Sierra Leone.
The LPP has extended an open invitation to members, supporters, youth, women, community stakeholders, and well-wishers in the three districts to attend the engagements, which form part of Pastor Mohamed Samuel Kamara’s national tour centered on listening to citizens, strengthening party structures, and sharing the LPP’s vision for a new generation of leadership in Sierra Leone.
