Former Minister of Foreign Affairs ,Dr. Samura Kamara has praised his comrades of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party for supporting him as the Party’s candidate for the June 24th elections.

The former minister hailed his fellow comrades after officially declaring for the APC flagbearer in Makeni yesterday.

The declaration yesterday attracted huge supporters and political stakeholders including former Chairman and Leader of the National Grand Coalition (NGC), Dr. Dennis Bright.

Many party stakeholders and supporters believe that the former minister is best positioned to return the party to State House after five years in opposition.

Political analysts have said that the camaraderie among party stakeholders is a positive for a party that has been fraught with disunity and in-fighting over the years.

Dr. Kamara now joins Omrie Golley, former Sierra Leone Ambassador to South Korea as aspirants to have officially declared for the presidential flagbearer of the APC party.

Locals expect more official declarations as the nation edge towards the June 2023 elections.
