The All Peoples Congress (APC) has released the official schedule of funeral activities for its late National Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, who passed away on Monday, 15th June 2026, in Dakar, Republic of Senegal.
According to a public notice issued by the party’s National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., the funeral programme will span four days, beginning with the arrival of the remains on Friday, 19th June.
The remains are expected to arrive at Lungi International Airport from Dakar on Friday, where they will be received by family members, APC leadership, and well-wishers.
On Saturday, 20th June, the remains will be conveyed from Lungi to Freetown via Port Loko, accompanied by family members, party officials, supporters, and sympathisers.
Sunday, 21st June, will see the APC leadership and membership pay an official condolence visit to the bereaved family at 11:00 a.m. This will be followed by a Party Laying-Out Ceremony at the APC National Secretariat, located at 11A Old Railway Line in Freetown, commencing at 1:00 p.m. All party members, supporters, and sympathisers are encouraged to attend and pay their final respects.
The main funeral rites will take place on Monday, 22nd June. A Lying-in-State and Laying-Out Ceremony will be held at the House of Parliament at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Civic Laying-Out Ceremony at the Freetown City Council at 12:30 p.m.
At 4:00 p.m., Janaza prayers will be offered at the Hamdallah Mosque on Naimbana Street, Freetown, after which the remains of the late Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray will be laid to rest at the Kingtom Cemetery.
Following the burial, a repast will be held at the Freetown City Council for members of the general public, while food will be provided at the APC National Secretariat for party members and structures.
The APC leadership expressed profound gratitude to all those who have extended messages of condolence and support to the family and the party during this difficult period.
The notice concluded with prayers: “May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, shower His mercy upon him, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.”
