The governing Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has in a statement released by the National Secretary General Umaru Napoleon Koroma on Friday September 24th 2021 stated that, “in line with the timetable set for the conduct of elections, the eastern regional executive elections was slated for the 25th September 2021, but due to our desire to conduct the eastern and northern regional executive elections on the same date, the eastern regional executive elections is hereby postponed to October 30th 2021.”

Meanwhile, the party on 18th, September conducted executive elections in Kenema and Kono respectively.
