Popular female politician Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden has advised the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) that the best option about the outcome of the recent announced Mid-Term Population and Housing Census is for them to accept the results.

She made this statement on her tweeter page. According to Sylvia Blyden, what the APC needs to do is to sensitize their supporters in order for massive registration when election time comes, but going to court will not change the census result.

”Some folks are rabble-rousing about going to Court over Census. What are the legal grounds for going to Court? Best way forward is to mobilize our people to massively Register to Vote. This will not change the Census results but all disparities will show up for future action,” she stated.

On Tuesday, Statistics Sierra Leone announced the 2021 Mid-Term Housing and Population Census results, and that raised many concerns from some citizens and opposition politicians.
Some are even planning to take the matter to court, and other calling for sacking of the Statistician-General, Prof. Sankoh, alleging that the census results are not credible.
